Bio

A Philadelphia native, Lorraine Messina Abrunzo moved to the Lehigh Valley as a young adult and has lived and worked in Berks County for the last ten years.  Originally a painter, Abrunzo discovered clay a few years ago.   She continues to paint, but now does so on a 3-dimensional canvas.  Abrunzo's work is reminiscent of ancient Greek and Roman vessels that tell a story that wraps around a piece with no beginning and no end.

Abrunzo studied art while pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Lehigh University.  She is currently affiliated with Clay On Main in Oley, Pa, the Berks County Art Association and the Chester County Art Association.  She has exhibited at Clay On Main, Goggleworks in Reading, Pa, The State Museum of Pennsylvania,  the CCAA Gallery in Exton, Pa, Studio B in Boyertown, and the Yocum Institute in Wyomissing, Pa.
